Barbecued stately homes

Today's activities comprised visiting a couple of local stately homes.
First was Cloden House, which seemed to have had a nasty accident in 2015 due to faulty wiring; current state of play is that it is covered in scaffolding and plastic,

A lot bigger than the banana
open to the public
but still debating what and how to restore.

Next on the list was Hachard House,

whose owner's hobby was collecting significant historical pianos previously owned by the great composers.

Dinner was at a local pub accompanied by a number of pints of fine English ale.
